Lakewood Animal Shelter Celebrates One Year in New Location
The Lakewood Animal Shelter is celebrating its one-year anniversary at its new location on Berea Road. Since relocating, the shelter has experienced significant growth and success in its mission to care for animals and promote responsible pet ownership among residents.
Over the past year, the shelter has implemented various programs aimed at enhancing the welfare of animals and encouraging community involvement. The staff has worked diligently to provide a welcoming environment for both pets and potential adopters, leading to an increase in successful adoptions and a decrease in the number of animals in need of shelter.
Promoting Responsible Pet Ownership
In conjunction with its anniversary, the Lakewood Animal Shelter is promoting its Shelter Pro initiative, aimed at educating pet owners about responsible pet care. This program provides resources and support to help residents ensure their pets are healthy and well-cared for. The shelter encourages local pet owners to take advantage of these resources, which include workshops, training sessions, and access to veterinary services.
The Lakewood Animal Shelter remains committed to its mission of providing a safe haven for animals and fostering a sense of community among pet owners. As it marks this milestone, the shelter looks forward to continuing its efforts in animal welfare and community engagement in the years to come.
